How to Change Your Google Name
Changing what appears when you access your Google account or send out e-mails can be done by accessing the account online and then going through the Settings tab. The name on an account can be changed as many times as necessary or desired.

Log in to your account using your current username and password. This can be done through mail.google.com.

Open the "Settings" tab that appears on any Gmail page on the top right-hand corner between your user name and the "Help" tab.

Click on the second tab from the left called "Accounts and Import."

Click on the "Edit Info" link in the "Send mail as:" section (the second block from the top). A new window will open.

Click on the second radio button next to the empty box and type in the name that you desire to see on your account.

Hit the "Save Changes" button after the name has satisfactorily been typed into the box.

Tips & Warnings
Please note that this process changes the way your name will appear in e-mails and elsewhere on the Google site; however, it does not change your actual username. In order to create a new user name, a new account has be created.
