Designing a bracelet for a man is much like designing a bracelet for a woman. With a man's bracelet it is important to stay away from feminine designs like flowers or hearts. Men's bracelets are larger than women's bracelets because most men have larger arms.

How To Design A Bracelet For A Man

  1. Step 1

Measure the size of wrist you are designing for.

  2. Step 2

Clip images from magazines of men's bracelets you like. Use these images as inspiration for your design.

  3. Step 3

Gather jewelry making samples to decide what materials you will use for the bracelet. Use thicker materials for a masculine look. Thick silver or gold chain, leather or roping are all ideas.

  4. Step 4

Look at closures for the bracelet. If you have a leather bracelet a snap may be appropriate. The closure should be thick enough in relation to the bracelet material.

  5. Step 5

Using the materials selected as references, draw a picture of the design you want for your bracelet. Use the measurement you took earlier to draw the bracelet to scale.

  6. Step 6

Consult with a jeweler to see if your design is technically possible. Make necessary technical changes.

  7. Step 7

Give your design to the jeweler to construct your bracelet.
