Proactiv Solution is a three-step system that is used to help prevent and treat acne. Proactiv is used by many people including celebrities. The treatments are effective in healing acne and preventing future outbreaks. The Proactiv system includes the renewing cleanser, revitalizing toner and repairing lotion. For best results, it is recommended to use the three steps twice a day. To gradually stop using Proactiv you can decrease the amount of usage and how often you use it.

1. Decrease the frequency of usage. Proactiv recommends using the system in the morning and at night for best results. To gradually stop using only the system, use only once a day. I recommend using it in the morning.

2. Decrease the amount of use. Use a pea-size amount of the renewing cleanser and the repairing lotion. For the revitalizing toner, soak 1/2 of the cotton ball with the toner before applying to your face.

3. Skip steps in the system. For instance, you started off using all three steps in the system. The next day use only the renewing cleanser and the repairing lotion, eliminating the use of the revitalizing toner. Gradually eliminate steps until the use of Proactiv has been discontinued.

• Some people who gradually stop using Proactiv may experience oily skin. To supplement, a facial cleansing soap can be used.
