How to Make Your Own Silk Flower Wedding Bouquet
Making your wedding bouquet out of silk flowers will ensure a lifelong lasting keepsake while keeping costs down during planning. A hand-tied, round silk flower bouquet can be made ahead of time without the worry of flowers wilting or dying. You can choose any color and type of flowers for this design. Unlike fresh flowers, silk flower bouquets can be passed down to future generations from the bride as a tradition and still look the same as when they were originally used.
Instructions

1
Cut the stems off the silk flowers so all of the flowers are roughly the same length.
-
2
Hold one flower vertically, and begin to make small, clockwise circles as you add additional flowers around the center.
-
-
3
Wrap floral tape tightly around the completed circle of flowers near the top of the stems, underneath the petals of the flowers.
-
4
Wrap the ribbon tightly around the stems. Start at the top over the floral tape and hold the end of the ribbon down with your thumb.
-
5
Overlap the ribbon on each pass to ensure no color from the stems is showing. Secure the ribbon ends at the top and the bottom with a pearl corsage pin, pushing it through the stems for security.

Tips & Warnings
Start the bouquet with three flowers of one color, then add a different color for the rest of the bouquet. A ribbon of a dark color is best to add contrast to your white dress instead of blending in with it. Make smaller versions of your bouquet for bridesmaids and the bouquet toss. Match the colors of the bouquet to your bridal shoes for a twist.
Keep silk flowers away from water, for some types of silk may get spots or stains.
