Things You'll Need:
- hangers
- glue
- bat templates
- cloud pattern
- construction paper
- scissors
- fishing line/ string
-
Step 1
Begin the project by showing the students what it will look like when completed. This will clear up any questions as to how it should go together or look. Distribute all materials.
-
Step 2
Students will be given large pieces of grey construction paper to create their clouds. I supply a pattern that will be big enough to cover the hanger. Students will trace the cloud pattern and cut out two pieces of the cloud. These will later be stapled around their hanger.

Step 3
Three bats will be made for the mobile. I usually have a front and back for the bat. Once they are both cut out, place and glue the string in between both pieces of the bat. Then, attach the string to the bottom part of the hanger. I have the students tie the bats evenly spaces on the bottom of the hanger. Now attach the cloud section to the hanger. This can be done with a few staples. I hang the entire class' project on the lights in my room. The entire room looks like it is being taken over by bats.
