Steak Diane is a great dish. The steak is nice and tender and the ingredients are perfect for someone who likes a slightly stronger overtone in the taste of their steak.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 rib eye steaks (1/2 in)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 3 teaspoons green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chives, minced
  1. Step 1

Thaw out your steaks so that they are completely unfrozen. Sprinkle the steaks with the salt and pepper mix. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet, stir in the chopped green onions and the teaspoon of mustard.

  2. Step 2

Put the steaks in the skillet and cook for 3 minutes on each side. Remove the steaks, after the 3 minutes has passed, to a serving platter and keep warm. To the still warm skillet, add lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and the remaining 2 T butter.

  3. Step 3

Cook the mixture for 2 minutes. Add your parsley and chives and pour over steaks. Be sure to serve the steak hot, putting the serving platter in the oven on very low heat will keep the steak warm. Don't leave it in too long, though, or it will dry out.

Tips & Warnings
  • Chop the onions, chives and parsely fine. The flavor soaks in better than if you leave them in large chunks.
