When it comes to outfitting your wedding party, bridesmaids' dresses can be very expensive. There are ways, however, to reduce that cost and save money.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Look at prom dresses instead of "bridesmaids dresses". There is really no difference between the two besides the name and the price. Shop for these dresses after prom season and you will find great discounts.

  2. Step 2

Try shopping online. JCPenney.com has a great selection of beautiful formal dresses that are usually on sale. Pair that sale with the coupon codes they usually have out and score great savings.

  3. Step 3

Consider not having your bridal party all waring the same gowns. Have then in different dresses but in the same color. This will give you more options which will inevitably reduce your cost.

  4. Step 4

There is also the option of renting the bridesmaid dresses. You will likely have a smaller selection, but it might allow for more designer dresses which otherwise would not be in the budget.
