The absolute best way to get items to sell at a flea market are store going-out-of-business close-out auctions. Call the largest newspaper in your area and ask them when they publish AUCTIONS. The paper in some areas have one day a week when close out auctions are listed in the classifieds. Go to the auction of your choice and register - you will receive a card with a number that you will hold up when you want to bid on a group of items. You must have cash to pay at the end of the auction and you can get some really good deals.

Another good way to get items to sell is to shop the sales in the large department stores at the end of a season. Sometimes you can buy loads of items (pocketbooks, kids clothes, boots, etc.) at 70% off. Store these items in boxes with sweet smelling dryer sheets tucked in until that season comes around again. Go to the flea market and set up your table with all new items that are just right for that time of year!
