Check with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). If you have ever had a FHA loan, you may be eligible for either a mortgage insurance premium refund or a share of the Mutual Mortgage Insurance Fund. Contact HUD at (800) 697-6967 to see if you are eligible or research this information on the HUD website. Ensure that you either have your last name used to obtain the FHA loan or your nine-digit case number available when researching your refund.
