According to Marios Alexandrou, Web strategist and project manager, an eBusiness is nothing more than the conduction of business on the Internet. EBusinesses are becoming extremely popular because of the ever-increasing globalization and digitalization of the world. They offer business owners the convenience and flexibility of being able to operate from anywhere all over the globe. Creating an eBusiness Web site is the first essential element to starting your own eBusiness.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Domain name
  • Web host
  • Graphic editing program
  • Web building program
  • Notepad
  1. Step 1

Make a business plan determining what good or service your business is going to offer. Create a name for your business, then try to secure a domain name that is identical to that of your business name.

  2. Step 2

Select a Web host--the service that makes your Web site accessible to the public. There are numerous Web hosts online, designed to fit most budgets. However, make sure that you select one that offers all the services required for your eBusiness needs. Some Web hosts offer site-builder services that help you create the layout of your Web site, whereas others do not.

  3. Step 3

Use a graphic editing program to create a logo for your business that will be displayed throughout your Web site. Your logo should symbolize your business and can be as simple as text or as advanced as a high-quality image.

  4. Step 4

Create the pages of your Web site using a Web-building program, such as Microsoft FrontPage, or by writing the html codes yourself. Use any site-builder services provided by your Web host as well. Ensure that you include a description of your eBusiness, all goods or services it offers, contact information, payment information and so on.

  5. Step 5

Upload the files that compose your Web site to your Web host by logging into your Web host account, going to your file manager and clicking on "upload files."

Tips & Warnings
  • Consider purchasing a Web hosting and domain name package for a discount, as many Web hosting companies offer a cheap domain registration upon purchase of their Web hosting services.
  • Beware of creating a domain name that is already taken; try different extensions for a greater chance of availability.
