Learning how to control the male orgasm can improve sexual enjoyment and satisfaction for both the man and his partner. When the man is able to control his orgasm, he can take more time to pleasure his partner and ensure that the sexual needs of both parties are met. Learning to control the male orgasm takes time and practice, but is certainly worthwhile.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get healthy. Maintaining a healthy body allows the penis to perform at its best. Overall fitness is extremely important to controlling orgasms during sex. Exercise regularly, drink lots of water and eat foods rich in zinc and iron.

  2. Step 2

Learn how to control your pelvic floor muscles. You can do this by practicing kegel exercises. The pelvic floor muscles are the same muscles that are used to stop and start urination. Learn to contract these muscles by interrupting urine flow. Once you know how to contract them, practice any time. Flex for approximately five seconds, release for five seconds, and repeat ten times. Work your way up to 20 times, then 30, increasing until you reach 100. These exercises can be done anywhere at any time without anyone ever knowing you're doing them.

  3. Step 3

Explain your fears and concerns to your partner. This will help to ease the stress of the situation and possibly make sex more enjoyable for both of you.

  4. Step 4

Select a word that will let your partner know to stop moving. The word can be as obvious as "stop." This lets your partner know that you're about to go over the edge and that you need time to recover before proceeding.

  5. Step 5

Choose a position that is less stimulating to make controlling your orgasm easier. You can experiment while having sex with your partner in order to see which position best suits you.

  6. Step 6

Relax your legs and the cheeks of your buttocks when you feel as though you are about to orgasm. When these muscles become tense, it causes increased stimulation and may bring an orgasm on more quickly.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always take precautions before having sex. Make sure both you and your partner have been tested for STDs. Discuss contraception with your partner.
