The hippie look is easy to create. Chances are good that you know someone who has original pieces of this wardrobe in an attic or closet.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Shave, but glue on a mustache and/or beard if you don't have one naturally.

  2. Step 2

Put on a shaggy-looking wig unless your hair is at least chin-length.

  3. Step 3

Put on a headband. Any style will do.

  4. Step 4

    Tuck a tight, tie-dyed T-shirt into hip-hugging bell-bottom jeans.

  5. Step 5

Put on a beaded necklace. It should come down to your chest.

  6. Step 6

Slip into a fringed suede vest to complete the look.

  7. Step 7

Wear either sandals or boots, depending on the season.

Tips & Warnings
  • Put on a CD or tape from the late 1960s while you're putting yourself together.
  • Practice making the "V" peace sign and saying "groovy."
