Want to learn how to teach your dog a new trick? This article will show you how to teach your dog a new original trick. High five is my favorite trick... it is just cool. This trick is easy to teach and fun to do.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

Some treats

Step 1

*From the sit position.
Start your dog at the sit position. Get your dog to sit. Praise your dog for obeying your command.
Step 2

Shake

*Shake
If your dog does not know how to shake you will have to teach him or her. Shake is the next position in the High Five trick. Praise your dog for obeying your command.
Step 3

High Five

*High Five
When your dog does the shake command hold on to his or her paw and hold your other hand up in the High Five position. Then say High Five. Do these steps over and over again until your dog gives you a High Five with their free paw. When they do it correctly then reward them with a treat.
Step 4

*It is Show Time.
Now you can show off your new cool trick in public or when you have company. This is a crowd pleasing trick and it is very simple.
