Step 1
A front lace wig is often called an invisible wig because the lace mesh front of the wig can be attached at the hairline, producing a very natural looking hairline that allows the wig to go undetected, even if the hair is styled in a way that pulls it back from the face. When choosing your wig, you'll want to take the shape of your face into account, so that you choose a style that is flattering. You'll also want to choose a color that is either similar to your own hair, or one that is different and yet complimentary to your natural skin tone. There are also different textures of hair, and you'll get the most natural look by choosing a texture that is similar to your own hair.

Step 2
To look natural when wearing a front lace wig, you will need to first style your natural hair in a fashion that will allow the invisible wig to be fitted over top of it. Hair can either be braided close to the hair, or enclosed in a wig cap before applying the front lace wig.

Step 3
Front lace wigs are attached at the front hairline by an adhesive, which is generally a specially designed glue or tape. It might take some practice to get this applied correctly. It's important to make sure not to get any adhesive in your natural hair when applying an invisible wig, because doing so could damage your natural hair. It's also important to take this lace front and the adhesive into consideration when removing the invisible wig, being careful not to damage the wig while removing it. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for gluing the wig on and removing it, as well as cleaning the adhesive off of the wig, so that the wig stays natural looking and in good condition.

Step 4
Once your front lace wig is applied, you will note that you will be able to style the hair in ways that aren't possible with traditional wigs. You'll see why they are often referred to as an invisible wig... because you can style them in different ways, pulled away from the face, or with different types of parts in the hair, without it being apparent that you are wearing a wig at all.
