Things You'll Need:
- A Jar
- Some tweezers
- Alcohol (for the bite)
- A magnifying glass
- Tea tree oil
-
Step 1
Start by relaxing, sit down and remain calm. By getting stressed you will only make the situation worst.
-
Step 2
Purchase some tweezers and place the tweezers around the base of the tick. Make sure that have the head and legs. Do not smear Vaseline or petroleum jelly on the tick as
this can encourage the tick to regurgitate its last feed, and if the last host had lyme disease this will increase the risk of the disease being passed into your blood stream -
Step 3
Now that you have the deer tick, pull gently upwards and remove the tick. Clean the infected area with some alcohol and place some tea tree oil on the bite.
-
Step 4
Put the tick in a jar and label the jar with a date and where you think that the tick managed to attach itself to you. Examine the bite with the magnifying glass to make sure that you have removed the legs and head.
-
Step 5
It is well-known that deer ticks can carry lyme disease which will leave you with some of the following symptoms, flu, fever, headache, chest pains etc. If you get any of the above symptoms go and visit your Doctor fast and take the tick in the jar with you. You could have done some research first and what species the tick is.

Step 6
The bullseye tick bite rashIt is a misconception that people infected with lyme disease will always get the dreaded bullseye tick bite rash. This is not the case and many cases of Lyme disease do not have the bullseye red bumpy rash.
