Step 1
Observe your mind's reactions. This exercise is very powerful but the mind doesn't like to be watched so you must be persistent but not with force. You will notice that the mind will try to move your thoughts on something else instead of it. When this happens observe it and work your thoughts back to observation and in time this exercise will become easier.

Step 2
Speak from your heart. Have you ever heard that saying "think before you speak?" Well, before you give a response to a question or statement observe the answer that automatically pops up. Is this your feeling or is this an habitual answer? Make every effort to say what you feel is the best response based on what you feel.

Step 3
Break out of the fear prison. Fear of anything is a prison. A fear that your parents won't approve, you husband will be mad if..., or a fear that you won't be liked if you just be you is a form of prison. Fear is nothing without the power we give it. Visualize yourself opening the prison door and step outside. This is sometimes easier said than done but it can be done. You have so much power that you have put yourself in the fear prison. You can take yourself out of it because you hold the keys.
