How to Make a Lady Gaga Costume

The hottest new pop artist this year was Lady Gaga. Millions of girls love her style, lyrics, and music. You too can easily capture her style this Halloween.

Things You'll Need

• Unitard/Leotard
• Hose
• Leggings
• Sunglasses
• Platinum Wig
• Shoes

1. First, google as many pictures of Lady Gaga as you can find. Her style is forever changing and she takes fashion risks that are FABULOUS! This will give you an idea which of her looks you want to borrow for Halloween.

2. Now, you will need some sort of unitard or leotard. I suggest investing in a solid-colored one (black, red, or white). It's not uncommon to see Lady Gaga only wearing a unitard with some type of embellishments like:

   Elbow length gloves
   Wrapped fabric
   Huge belt
   Crystals
   Wings
   Collar

   There are so many ways that you could embellish the simple unitard. Just be creative and don't be scared to try anything.

3. Underneath the unitard (or short dress, if you're not comfortable wearing a unitard) you will need to wear some sort of skin colored hose or a pair of ankle length leggings. You can coordinate the color of the hose/leggings with the color of your main outfit.

4. Shoes are a must for the perfect Lady Gaga costume. This is what is going to make your outfit.

   The type of shoes you need to wear must have a tall heel on them (a tall wedge will work too). Look for a pair of ankle boots, booties, or wedged heels.

   It doesn't matter what color and the crazier the better.

5. Now, let's focus on the face.

   Here's three things you will need:

   Sunglasses
   Platinum Wig
   Wild Makeup

   The sunglasses can be any type of sunglasses you want. Keep in mind though that Lady Gaga is known for wearing old school Ray Bans. Today, the Ray Ban style has come back, but you could look on Ebay to find an old school pair.

   The wig just needs to be platinum blonde. It can be any style you want it to be because Lady Gaga changes the ways she fixes her hair. The most common style is the long, straight bangs look. She's also used a short curly bob.

   Her makeup is elaborate and flashy. I suggest that instead of having to read steps for makeup tips here that you need to search them on Youtube. This will allow you to see firsthand what you should be doing. There are lots of tutorials there for you to utilize.
