Begin to write an automobile bill of sale by gathering your title and vehicle registration papers.

Write the following information to establish the identity of the seller of the vehicle that will be sold:
I, (your name here), of (your address here), certify that I am the legal and lawful owner of the following vehicle being sold and have the authority to sell this vehicle.

List the following specific information of the automobile to be sold, including:
- Make of the vehicle
- Model of the vehicle
- Year of the vehicle
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)Include any other information that distinguishes the automobile being sold.

Word the remainder of the bill of sale to indicate the price the vehicle will be sold for, the buyer's name and address, and the mileage of the vehicle at the time of the transfer of the automobile.
Include that the vehicle is being sold 'as is.'

Include wording that says the seller relinquishes all rights to the vehicle and the buyer assumes all responsibilities to the vehicle upon the sale.

At the bottom of the page, add a line for each of the following:
- the seller's signature and date
- the buyer's signature and date
