Step 1
To grow beautiful hair, you will need the right building blocks. Your hair is mostly made of a protein, keratin, and although it is dead, if you don't have enough protein in your diet, your hair will suffer. Eat protein and eat a lot of it. I recommend lean protein like grilled chicken or fish. This will reduce the amount of fat in your diet as well as contribute to the growth of your hair and over all health.

Step 2
Drink tons of water! Water is essential for life and the same goes for the life of your hair. If you drink an adequate amount of water you'll find that not only is your hair growing faster but that it's softer and hydrated. There will be less breakage and your body will love you too. Also try wetting your hair three times a week. You don't have to wash it and I suggest that you don't unless you have an oily scalp but the very act of wetting your hair gives it moisture and moisture means health, strength, and length.

Step 3
Exercise at least three times a week. Exercising has so many benefits that if you aren't on a fitness program now, you should start as soon as you're able. Exercising not only contributes to the overall health of your body but it also helps stimulate hair growth by increasing blood flow all over the body especially to the scalp. Another helpful activity is to get a scalp massage. This also increases blood flow to the scalp and allows for faster hair growth. Plus it feels good!

Step 4
Dedicate yourself to a hair vitamin regimen. You can buy specific vitamins formulated for hair and nails or take certain vitamins separately depending on your hair needs and desires. Some of the best vitamins to take for overall hair health are: biotin-increases hair thickness, msm-lenghthens growing phase of hair, vitamin c-helps absorb msm, and vitamin bcomplex-helps stave off any acne you might experience from the above combo.

Step 5
Use quality hair products that have moisturizing ingredients like jojoba oil, olive oil, shea butter, coconut oil, and/or glycerine. Make sure that you apply your product of choice to all of the hair especially the tips because these are the oldest parts of your hair and therefore the most fragile. Be sure to wear your hair in protective styles like twists, braids, or buns to stop any breakage that may occur while your hair is growing. Use these tips and you will be well on your way to long beautiful hair.
