Turn off the water supply valves as a safety precaution and disconnect the washing machine from the wall outlet before removing the drain hose.
Lift the washer drain hose from the exhaust pipe in the wall and lower the hose into a bucket to drain as much water as possible.
Remove the drain hose from the back of the LG washer using pliers or a wrench and the screwdriver to loosen the metal clamp holding the hose to the appliance. Keep the bucket handy before pulling the hose free from the appliance.
Hold the bucket beneath the drain hose where it attaches to the LG washer and pull the hose away from the appliance to drain the remaining water in the washing machine.
