How to Implement the Law of Attraction

The Law of Attraction asserts that we all control our own circumstances through the power of our thoughts. If we focus on what we fear, we will bring what we fear into our lives. If, on the other hand, we focus on our desires, we will manifest our desires. Specific techniques have been devised that allow people to control their thinking in order to bring their desires to fruition. These techniques take time and practice to implement.

      Decide what you really want out of life. Be honest with yourself, because you cannot manifest your desires if you fail to accurately identify them. Eliminate from consideration any desire that would harm others. Create a written list of your desires.

      Create a list of negative behaviors and thinking patterns that are holding you back from fulfilling your desires. Rephrase these behaviors in voluntary, positive, present-tense sentences such as, "Today I choose to be financially intelligent" instead of "I must stop wasting so much money." These sentences are your affirmations.

      Verbalize your affirmations each day while standing in front of the mirror. Concentrate on the meaning of what you are saying and try not to let your mind wander. The more often you verbalize these affirmations, the more effective they will be in manifesting your desires.

      Sit in a dark, quiet room for 20 minutes each day and try to visualize a pleasant scene of your choice. Do your best to relax and block out all thoughts from your mind. The purpose of this exercise is to gradually improve your concentration and visual imagination.

      Use your newly developed concentration and visualization abilities to specifically visualize scenes in which each one of the desires on your list has been manifested (you may imagine driving a brand new BMW or holding your new lover in your arms, for example). Gradually bring in sound, taste, touch and smell until your imagination encompasses all of the elements that real-life events do.

      Write down successes and fortuitous coincidences as they actually occur, and review them each day to motivate yourself to continue with the daily practice of creative visualization and affirmations.

  • Law of Attraction manifestation exercises should be practiced every day over a long period of time. Long-term consistency will yield the best results.

  • Manifestation of your desires is not a one-time life makeover. It is more like a gym membership or a diet--if you stop performing the exercises, positive results will taper off and eventually disappear.
