How to Create a Memory Book of High School Years
A memory book is a creative way to remember your high school years. Use it to store your prom pictures, report cards, awards, programs and other important items from high school. By keeping these things in a book rather than a jumbled box, you will able to revisit them at any time and keep these memories safe.

1
Select a scrapbook to keep your memories in. Standard sizes are 12 by 12 inches or 8 by 8 inches, although there are some variations available as well. A 12-by-12-inch book is ideal for holding programs, large photos and ribbons, which may be too big for a smaller book.
-
2
Organize your pictures and mementos into themes. For example, a picture of you at your first job, a first pay stub and a flier or coupon from the place that you worked could go together. A piece of sheet music, certificate of accomplishment, concert program and pictures of the band may make a section about your musical activities. Organize your items by yea or by activity.

Select stickers, colored and patterned card stock and other embellishments to tie your book together. After creating your various themes, you should have a good idea of what kinds of stickers and papers will work best. You can find a wide selection of these items at most craft stores.

4
Lay out items that go together on each page. Include captions and snippets of information to make your memory book more than just a scrapbook of pictures. Type or hand-write information such as your favorite activity, band, actor, movie and fashion statement for each year. Make notes about memorable events shared with your friends. Include relevant clippings from the school newspaper to show what was going on at the time and to remind you of the things that seemed most important to you as a high school student.
-
5
Glue all of the items down on each page. Slip the pages into protective plastic covers and store them in your book. If you have extra pieces that didn't fit in with your memory book pages, glue a manila folder into the back of the book to store them.

Tips & Warnings
If you are currently in high school, set aside a shoebox for items such as ticket stubs or notes from friends that may be fun to look back on later. This box will be a treasure trove of memories in a few years, when you're ready to put together your memory book.
