How to Treat Oral Infections With Chinese Herbs

Untreated chronic oral lesions or ulcers can result in infections of varying degrees and are normally the result of bacteria or viruses found in the mouth. Most oral infections start off as toothaches and bleeding gums, which left untreated lead to major infections of the oral cavity requiring medial procedures or medications. If you are hesitant to see a dentist, maybe trying to treat the oral infection with Chinese herbs is for you. Chinese herbs have proved effective in treating oral infections ranging from a simple toothache to infections like herpes and candidiasis. Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) provides relief for different kinds of bacterial and viral infections. Even the severest of ulcers and blisters in the oral cavity can be treated by taking advantage of the antiviral properties of lemon balm extracts.
