How to Get Leptin Hormone
Leptin is a hormone produced by fat that tells your brain when you are full. It is also related to metabolism and weight loss. When your leptin levels are too low, you experience food cravings and feel hungrier. High leptin levels cause you to feel full and signal to stop eating. Losing weight too quickly causes leptin levels to fall significantly, and your metabolism slows down. This is the reason that crash diets do not work. Increasing your leptin levels takes time for your body to adjust to the changes.

1
Increase leptin hormone levels by eating healthily. Lower calorie intake gradually to allow your body time to adjust. Don't eat too much sugar, which lowers receptiveness to the leptin hormone. Try to incorporate more fish into your diet. Research has shown that people who eat more fish have better sensitivity to leptin.

2
Don't deprive yourself when it comes to food. You do need to eat healthy, but it is a good idea to eat a high calorie meal at least once a week. When you change your diet, it will take time for your body to adjust to normal Leptin levels, so eating a high calorie meal weekly will help your body to realize it is not starving.

3
Get plenty of sleep - at least six hours per night. Anything less than that will decrease leptin and leave you feeling hungry. Sleeping well keeps leptin in check and cravings under control.
