How to Do Teen Hairstyles

Things You'll Need

• Hair barrettes
• Rubber bands
• Brush
• Finishing spray (hair spray)

Instructions

1. To get the bohemian braid that has been seen on Kate Hudson, Angelina Jolie and Nicole Richie, simply braid two strands of hair (one on the left and one on the right).

2. Clasp the two braided hair strands at the ends with ponytail holders (small rubber bands work well) or barrettes.

3. Pull each braided strand into the center crown of the back of your head.

4. Add a jewelled hair clip or butterfly barrette to the crown of your head to hold the braids in place.

5. Finish with hair spray to keep the style in place. This is a great look for school or casual day wear.

6. Add another dimension to the bohemian braid style with just one additional step, and you have the braided updo style which is perfect for evening wear. To get the look, simply pull the rest of your hair to the center crown back of your head and incorporate the braided strands with it. Swirl into a bun and hold in place with your barrette clip. Finish with hair spray.
