- blender or stick blender

Step 1
Try blending your soup. This will create a nice smooth consistency. Transfer the soup in batches to a blender and blend on a high speed until liquid. Or, use an immersion blender (also called a stick blender) to liquify your soup. Your soup will be a little easier to eat.

Step 2
Add spices to your soup. Spices have negligible calories and hardly any carbs or fat. Some spices, such as cayenne pepper, turmeric and cumin even have thermogenic properties (meaning they burn fat!) If you add enough spice, you won't be able to taste the cabbage!!!!

Step 3
If all else fails, hold your nose while eating bites of soup. Strangely enough, this works. You won't be able to taste the soup as you eat it.
