The Cabbage Soup Diet is a great way to lose a few extra pounds for an upcoming event. It's also a great way to detox your system for a week when you have been eating junk food and need to lose weight fast and reduce bloating. But, if you hate cabbage, it's not a fun diet to do at all! Mealtimes can feel like a prison sentence and you will feel yourself gagging at each spoonful of cabbage. Here are a few tips for making the diet a little easier.

Things You'll Need:

  • blender or stick blender
  • spices
  1. Step 1

    Try blending your soup. This will create a nice smooth consistency. Transfer the soup in batches to a blender and blend on a high speed until liquid. Or, use an immersion blender (also called a stick blender) to liquify your soup. Your soup will be a little easier to eat.

  2. Step 2

    Add spices to your soup. Spices have negligible calories and hardly any carbs or fat. Some spices, such as cayenne pepper, turmeric and cumin even have thermogenic properties (meaning they burn fat!) If you add enough spice, you won't be able to taste the cabbage!!!!

  3. Step 3

    If all else fails, hold your nose while eating bites of soup. Strangely enough, this works. You won't be able to taste the soup as you eat it.

  • Hang in there. it's only 7 days.
  • Stay motivated by thinking about a new thin YOU!
  • Do not follow the cabbage soup diet for more than 7 days at a time.
  • Consult your physician before starting this or any weight loss plan.
