Sage for Coloring Gray NaturallySage
Sage is known for subtly darkening hair while covering gray at the same time. Prepare a hair rinse by steeping 1/4 cup of fresh sage, or 1/8 cup of dried sage in 2 cups of boiling water. Allow the rinse to cool to room temperature. Use this as a final hair rinse after shampooing. The sage rinse should be left in the hair, not rinsed out, before drying. Sage hair rinse is an ideal way from brunettes to cover gray hair naturally. -

Rosemary for Coloring Gray NaturallyRosemary
Rosemary has been used throughout history as a natural way to darken hair and keep it soft. Steep 1/8 cup fresh rosemary herb, or 2 tablespoons dried herb in 2 cups boiling water. Allow the rosemary rinse to cool to room temperature. Use this as a final rinse after shampooing. Do not rinse the rosemary infusion from your hair. This works for hair that is naturally light or dark in color. -

Potatoes and Rosemary Essential Oil
You can also use potatoes to prepare a hair rinse that will darken hair and condition it at the same time. It works for all hair colors.
1 cup potato peels
2 cups cold water
2 drops rosemary essential oil
Simmer the potato peels over medium heat for 15 minutes. Strain and allow it to cool. Add 2 drops essential rosemary oil. After shampooing, massage this rinse into wet hair. Do not rinse out of hair.
