How to Create an Email Account in Yahoo

Yahoo provides a variety of services to Yahoo ID users. The most frequently used service is Yahoo Mail. The service is ad-supported, but full features. Available functions include email filters, multiple folders, messages with complex formatting, images and other attachments. Creating your Yahoo Mail only takes a few moments. After creating it, access your mail from any computer with a Web browser and a variety of mobile devices and applications.

Instructions

1. Open your preferred Web browser and navigate to the Yahoo Mail website. Click the "Create New Account" button. Enter your name, gender, birthday and country.

2. Enter the Yahoo ID you want in the field provided. This will be your Yahoo email address. Enter your password twice to confirm it.

3. Enter an alternate email if you want to use it for password recovery. Enter two security questions for password recovery.

4. Enter the security code shown in the image. Click the "Try a new code" link if the code doesn't appear. Click "Create My Account."

Tips & Warnings

• Record in a safe place your ID, password, and (maybe) the security question/answer.
