Online Bible Study is a Great Way to Study the Bible
Online Bible Study is a Great Way to Study the Bible
Billy Alexander

Long gone are the days when it took piles of books to effectively study the Bible. Online Bible study makes it easy to study the Bible without leaving your home or spending a dime.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet Connection
  1. Step 1

Determine what you'd like to cover in your online Bible study. It is generally a good idea to have a Bible study topic in mind before you start.

  2. Step 2

Do a Google search for the Bible study topic of choice. For instance, do a search for "Bible study on pride" or whatever topic is of interest to you. Scan through search results until you find an online Bible study in your topic of interest.

  3. Step 3

If you don't find any promising online Bible studies that have been put together by other people, start from scratch by creating your own online Bible study using free Bible study websites. See the resources area below for good Bible study websites.

  4. Step 4

If you want to do an online Bible study for a particular word, simply type that word into the search box of a Bible study site such as studylight.org. That will bring up numerous verses that have your particular word in them.

  5. Step 5

If you want to do an online Bible study for a particular topic (rather than a particular word), Naves Topical Bible is a good choice.

  6. Step 6

There are also online Bible studies available on the Internet at various church websites. A few of my favorites are listed in the resource section below. These include both live and video taped sermons as well as more detailed online Bible studies.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to bookmark good online Bible study sites so that you'll be able to easily find them again.
  • Get together with friends to do an online Bible study. Each person can spend time searching for particular information and then share what is learned with others in the group. You can also each do your own online Bible study during the week and then get together to discuss your findings.
  • Online Bible study can't take the place of getting together to study the Bible with other believers. Be sure to include regular interaction and fellowship with other Christians a regular part of your Christian life.
