Mobile phones can be used for more then just phone calls. It can be used as a life saver. Today, I’m going to give you some tips on how to use your phone to survive an emergency. So let’s get started, just follow the steps below to continue.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The 122 emergency number. 112 is an international number. If your mobile phone can’t work in certain countries, dial this number to get help.

  2. Step 2

Pinging. Your phone sends a message to its phone tower every few minutes to give its location. Emergency services can trace this pinging and they can be able to find your exact location. Always dial the local emergency number first and if that don’t work, turn the phone off to save battery power and then turn it back on to send out a new ping.

  3. Step 3

I.C.E. stands for in case of emergency. Store a number in your phone book under the name ICE. When the emergency crew find you, they can call that number.

  4. Step 4

Samsung emergency dial feature. Newer Samsung models have an emergency dial feature. Press the volume button 4 times and the phone will send a message of up to 10 preset numbers. If one of these numbers ring back, the phone will connect without you having to answer. So that’s it, you are done.
