How to Block or Report a Person on Facebook thumbnail
Unfriend a user who is bothering you.

If the owner of a Facebook profile is posting offensive materials, or otherwise harassing you, you can report the user to Facebook for investigation. To stop another user from seeing you on the site, you can block her. A blocked user cannot find you in Facebook search results or see your posts anywhere on the site.

Instructions

  1. Block User

    • 1

Go to the personal Facebook profile of the individual that you want to block.

    • 2

Scroll down to the bottom of the information on the left side of her profile, which may include a Friend List or a Relationship Status line.

    • 3

Click the blue "Report/Block This Person" link.

    • 4

Check the box next to "Block This Person" and click the "Submit" button.

    Report User

    • 5

Go to the profile picture of the person that you want to report. If you want to alert Facebook to a specific post, go to that post.

    • 6

Click the "Report/Block This Person" link in the left column of a user's profile to file a general report about abuse. Do not click this to report a specific post. Click on the circle next to the reason provided by Facebook that best describes the reason you are reporting the user. Click "Submit" to send the report.

    • 7

Move your mouse over the post that you want to report and click on the "x" that appears in the top-right corner of the post. Select "Report Abuse" from the drop-down menu.
