Breast Cancer has no boundaries, and we might all know at least one person who has coped with this type of cancer. Perhaps you have faced this reality, or have a family member, friend or colleague who has coped with breast cancer. One way to help support breast cancer awareness programs is to volunteer your time. Support the breast cancer awareness programs in your area and make a difference.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Calendar
  1. Step 1

Check into local programs that support breast cancer awareness.

  2. Step 2

Take the time to get to know the people who run the programs. You may find that they have a list of things that they need volunteers to help with.

  3. Step 3

Ask how you can volunteer your time. You may find that there are several volunteering options that will fit your schedule.

  4. Step 4

Offer to help work during a fundraiser. There are many different options you may have. You could help set up or take down a fundraiser. You may choose to greet guests, take donations or organize areas of the event.

  5. Step 5

Donate items for fundraisers. If your area has an art Fundraiser, perhaps you could donate a painting or another type of art that you have created.

  6. Step 6

Purchase an item and give it back to auction off. Most breast cancer awareness programs love to be able to re-sell an item. It’s a gift that keeps giving.

  7. Step 7

Work in the background. You may offer to help send out flyers or proofread articles that will be sent for publication.

  8. Step 8

Help spread the word. Offer to help get the word out about fundraisers or the breast cancer awareness program.

  9. Step 9

Listen to others in the breast cancer awareness programs. You may come up with an idea to support your local programs that will be very much appreciated.

  10. Step 10

Talk to other volunteers. Brainstorming often comes up with ideas that will blossom into a viable fundraising opportunity.
