How to Customize Countdown Clocks on MySpace

There many different types of widgets that can be used to personalize your MySpace page. One of these is a countdown clock widget. These clocks are a great way to countdown the days until the day of a special event, like a birthday or holiday. There are numerous countdown widget generators available, and you will need to do a search to find one that has the features that you are looking for. But the basic idea of all these clock widgets is the same--to countdown to a certain date.

Instructions

1. Enter the appropriate date for your event into the clock widget generator. Normally, you will have the options of month, year, day and hour.

2. Write your countdown clock message. There should be a text window in the generator where you can enter a message about your event. A common configuration of the widget will have the countdown clock timer at the top, the "Until" in the middle and your message at the bottom of the widget. It may read something like "235 days, 15 hours, 20 minutes - UNTIL - My Birthday," for example.

3. Choose the desired background color for your clock. Depending on the generator, you may have options to choose a background color or image.

4. Add any other custom features that you desire. Again, depending on the type of widget generator, this may include things like animation and special effects.

5. Save your settings and generate the HTML code. This will prompt the generator to create the HTML script necessary to render your clock on your page correctly.

6. Paste the generator code into profile page's Edit window and save.
