How to Create a Fatality in Mortal Kombat Armageddon

The Mortal Kombat fighting video games are notorious for their violent and controversial fatality moves, which players use to maim defeated opponents. Mortal Kombat: Armageddon for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and Wii introduced a new "Kustom Fatality" system, where players could string together attacks to create their own fatalities. The Kustom Fatality system adds an extra element of skill to the game, requiring players to master timing and button combinations to perform a fatality combo.

Instructions

    • 1

Defeat your opponent in two rounds of battle. An announcer will yell, "Finish him!" and a red timing meter will appear and begin to drain. You must enter your button commands before the meter empties.

    • 2

Perform a forward chain attack. Successfully landing the attack will refill the red meter, allowing you to perform another move.

    • 3

Perform either another chain attack or a transition move. Transition moves shift your opponent's body into a different position, giving you new attack options.

    • 4

Continue to perform chain attacks and transition moves in the order of your choosing. Every successful chain attack will refill the red meter, though it will also drain more quickly after each attack. A counter at the top of the screen will display the number of successful chain attacks you have performed. You can perform up to ten.

    • 5

Perform a finishing move to end the combo and kill your opponent. You will be rewarded based on how many successful chain attacks you performed. Ten chain attacks and a finishing move earn you the rating of "Ultimate Fatality" and 500 gold coins.

Tips & Warnings

  • For your first few fatality attempts, stick with a simple combo that uses only one or two chain attacks and a finisher. As you become more comfortable with the timing, mix in extra chain attacks and transitions. Slowly work your way up to an "Ultimate Fatality." Some characters can use weapons in their fatality combos. Consult a fatality moves list to learn each character's moves and abilities.
