How to Have More Than One Orgasm

A female orgasm requires patience, the right mood and slow, sensual stimulation. Having more than one orgasm is just like having the first one, except the real focus is on fun and pleasure and not the goal of having multiple orgasms.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Sex toys (optional)
  • Lubricant (optional)
  • Candles (optional)
  • Soothing music (optional)
  1. Step 1

Relax and get in the mood. Make sure your environment is romantic, sensual and comfortable. Use candles, music, scented oils or whatever will make you feel sensual.

  2. Step 2

Touch and caress the areas of your body, either by yourself or with a partner, that stimulate you and are pleasurable. This doesn't necessarily mean the genital areas. Your neck, breasts, legs and other areas may arouse you. Each woman is different, so explore different areas to find where on your body you like to be touched in a sensual manner.

  3. Step 3

Stimulate the genital area when you feel ready. Be patient and start slow. Clitoral stimulation is usually the best way to further sexual arousal in the genital area. The G-spot, a small, raised organ inside the vagina along the front wall, is also instrumental in stimulation. Use fingers or a toy, such as a vibrator. If with a partner, try oral stimulation. Don't be afraid to tell your partner what feels good or what you want done.

  4. Step 4

Use a lot of foreplay. You may even want to experience your first orgasm through clitoral stimulation before actual intercourse. You can also stop or decrease stimulation right before orgasm, calm down a bit, then begin stimulation again. By repeatedly building up to orgasm and backing off just before, you are building up sexual energy and raising the potential for an "explosive" first orgasm. This also primes your body for multiple orgasms.

  5. Step 5

Have your first orgasm, either through foreplay or intercourse. Also try contracting your pubococcygeus muscles, or PC muscles (see Resources). These muscles are located on the pelvic floor. Contracting these rhythmically as your sexual pleasure rises can bring on an orgasm, and women who can contract these muscles are more likely to have multiple orgasms.

  6. Step 6

Continue stimulation after your first orgasm, using your state of arousal to help. Try focusing on clitoral stimulation again. At this point, you are essentially trying to keep your state of arousal up. You may need to start slowly, especially if your clitoris is too sensitive after your first orgasm.

  7. Step 7

Stay relaxed and have fun. If you're focusing too hard on having further orgasms, you lose focus on the pleasure, and that defeats the purpose. Some women may achieve another orgasm in 10 minutes, some in seconds and others somewhere in between. You may experience a loss of arousal or very little loss. Some women have multiple orgasms so close to each other that it feels like one long orgasm with varying intensity.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't be afraid to practice by yourself. Commit some time to a long session. Good sex and multiple orgasms take time. Don't rush into intercourse. Foreplay contributes to arousal and stimulation and is important in building sexual tension within the body.
