Give your motorhome a deep cleaning. Remove spills and crumbs. Tightly seal all containers that have food inside of them. When the RV is not in use, completely dispose of all food items.

    • 2

Seal all openings where bugs can make their way inside. This may include caulking doors and windows. Repair any holes as well that the body of the motorhome may have sustained.

    • 3

Use household products to kill bugs at their entry point. If you find where the bugs are entering the motorhome, use talcum powder, damp coffee grounds or cayenne to get rid of them. Generously apply the substance to the area.

Apply a powder pesticide around the perimeter of your motorhome when parked, if natural ingredients are not successful. The pesticide can kill crawling insects such as ants that may try to enter the RV. An example of a brand that you can try is Boracide Insecticide Powder.

Place petroleum jelly on the outside of your hose hookup and power cord when parked at a campground. This substance can stop the bugs from entering the vehicle. Before you depart, wipe away the petroleum jelly.
