How to Make Candy Bar Wrappers or Boxes
Candy bar wrappers are easy to make and can be used for just about any occasion. With a few simple steps, turn any store-purchased candy bar into a custom creation. Custom-wrapped candy bars make thoughtful gifts for birthdays and holidays. They can be used as unusual favors for birthdays, weddings, baby showers, anniversaries or any occasion. Things You'll Need
- Chocolate candy bars
- Aluminum foil
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Glue stick
- Letter-size paper (two wrappers per page)
- Computer
- Printer

If the candy bars are double-wrapped, remove the outer wrapper without tearing it and set it aside. Keep the inner wrapper intact. If the bars are single-wrapped, glue down the sides of the wrapper. Apply a line of hot glue to the right side of wrapper on the bottom. Fold over and hold until glue dries. Repeat with left side.

Locate a website that offers templates for candy bar wrappers. There are many free sites as well as sites that offer templates you can buy. After you choose a template, follow instructions to configure printer settings.

Fill in the template with all of the information for the new wrapper. Include personal details, photos or special dates. For instance, if you're making wrappers as bridal shower favors, use a photo of the bride and groom, their names and the wedding date.

Print a black and white test page on regular paper and cut the test wrapper to size. Wrap the candy bar with test wrapper to measure for fit. Make any necessary adjustments to the images, type or size.

Load wrapper paper into your printer and select color printing. Print the wrappers 10 at a time, checking to make sure they are lining up properly. Trim the wrappers with scissors in stacks of 10.

For single-wrapped bars, cut aluminum foil into pieces large enough to cover bars. Wrap the bars like a present. Smooth foil flat against bar.

For double-wrapped bars, glue the ingredients from the original outer wrapper to the inside of the new wrapper. Cut out the ingredients list from the original wrapper. Apply a thin line of hot glue to the underside of the ingredients section. Apply the list to the inside of the new wrapper.

Place new wrappers upside down on the table. Center all candy bars upside down on top of the wrappers. Fold both the bottom and top of each wrapper over to meet in the center. Secure with small drops of hot glue along the wrapper and seal. Hold for 10 seconds until dry.
