Assemble the frame with the wood mold pieces and wood glue. Make the pattern from the mold pieces by gluing two pieces at a time in the corner clamp. In the corner clamp, set the bottom piece and the left side piece together in a flush fit; make a right angle. Glue the two pieces together. Do the same with the top piece and the right side piece. After the glue sets, take the two L-shaped pieces and set together the frame on the table. Glue the top left corner together in the corner clamp. Finish the frame by gluing the bottom right corner.

Secure the frame with wire brads. Punch lead holes in the frame corners; each corner takes two brads. Set a wire brad in the lead hole. Use the nail set to tap in the brad with the tack hammer. Tap in two brads for the four corners.

Fill in brad holes with wood putty. The frame is ready for you to set it on the picture.

Tips & Warnings
After assembling each corner, wipe off glue from the molding with a rag.
Any irregularity in the moldings will cause the pieces to make a poor square or rectangle, or cause the corners to fit together poorly. Before beginning, examine the pieces to make sure they are the right length. Examine the corners to see that they are straight and smooth 45-degree angles. Cut any piece that is too long to the proper length. Sand out any irregularity.
