Cleaning a house isn't all that hard to do if you start with a plan and keep in mind that it all doesn't have to be done in one day.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper
  • Writing Utensil
  1. Step 1

Gather something to write on and something to write with. Prepare to look, think, write, and walk a bit. Start on one end of your house and work your way around making sure to stop at each room.

  2. Step 2

In each room you'll want to look around noting each thing that needs to be done in that room in order for it to be clean. For example; if you're looking around your kitchen you'll want to write things such as washing the dishes/loading and unloading the dishwasher, cleaning the sink, cleaning and sanitizing the counter tops, cleaning cabinet doors, sweeping and mopping floors. Once your finished there move on to another room. Don’t forget to write down ceiling fans and shelves to be dusted, vacuuming, and anything else that needs to be done in the other rooms.

  3. Step 3

Once you have visited all rooms in your house be sure to go outside and write down those things as well such as taking the trash to the curb, pulling weeds, cutting grass … anything that needs to be done.

  4. Step 4

Now that your list is complete you will need to get additional paper out, one for each person who will be helping with the chores. If you will be the only one doing these chores go ahead and skip to Step 6.

  5. Step 5

Go down your completed list and decide who can/will do each chore. You can either write their name beside the chore on the complete list or start a list on their personal paper.

  6. Step 6

The easiest way I have found to keep up with the chores is to make a list at the top of your new page of everything that needs to be done EVERYDAY such as doing the dishes, sweeping the floor, and such. Then you can divide the remaining chores up between each day. You can split things up from Monday to Sunday but I personally only do the chores outside of everyday chores Monday to Friday.

  7. Step 7

Once everything is divided between people/days you can begin your routine of household chores. Chores can be added, removed, and changed between people at any given time without any difficulty.
