Step 1
First, you have to have mac osx 10.0 or higher. First, you go to garage band. Then, you go to song writting.

After you name your song, you can start making it. First is learning how to add beats, what you do for this is you go to the bottom right. You will see three options. click on the one to the left. From there, you should see a lot of options of different instruments.

Then, you chose which instruments that you want to use and put them into the timeline. You just drag the item into the place that you want it to be. You can also connect your instrument to your computer and play and the computer will record the notes and write them for you on the computer.

After that, you can go to the main screen that you chose song writting from, and click on what ever instrument that you want to record. You can also record your voice.

You can also get lessons on garage band and see how to play different songs. Also, if you are in your timeline with your song completed, you can go to share and click on itunes and the song will be put into your itunes account.
