Chicken breasts are one of the most-used parts of the chicken. There are nearly as many ways to prepare chicken breasts as you can imagine. This savory preparation uses liquid smoke to impart a chargrilled flavor to the chicken breasts without requiring you to cook over hot coals. Look for liquid smoke in the same aisle as salad dressings or barbecue sauces. For an approximate serving size, figure on one breast per person, with each breast about the size of a deck of cards. Things You'll Need

  • Boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Montreal chicken seasoning
  • Liquid smoke
  • Vegetable oil
  • Frying pan

Instructions

      Place your frying pan on the stove and heat to medium heat.

      Pour just enough vegetable oil in the pan to coat the bottom of the pan.

      Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the pan.

      Generously douse the chicken breasts with liquid smoke.

      Lightly sprinkle the chicken breasts with Montreal chicken seasoning. This seasoning is a blend of spices that includes garlic, pepper, onion and paprika, among others.

      Cook the chicken breasts for about 10 minutes and then flip them over. Douse the other side of the chicken breasts with the liquid smoke. Cook for another 10 minutes.

      The breasts are done when a meat thermometer inserted in the chicken registers 165 degrees Fahrenheit or when the meat is no longer pink and juices run clear. Remove them from the pan and serve with sides of your choice.
