How to Stop Automatic Video Plays

Don't be hindered by forced video plays. Flockblock will stop automatic flash plays so they won't slow down your computer or create viruses, but if you want to see the video anyway, just click the "f"

Things You'll Need:

• Firefox browser, computer

1. This only works for the updated version of Firefox so you need to get that first. As soon as you've downloaded the Firefox web browser, start up Firefox.

2. At the top of the upper left of the screen, go to Tools and click it. You should see a box. Scroll down to "Add-ons" and click that. A new window should appear.

3. Now go to the upper left part of the screen of the new window where there's a rectangular box that says, "search all add-ons." Go there, delete "search all add-ons" and type "flashblock." Then press "Enter" on your keyboard. The flashblock add-on and some others should appear.

4. Go to flashblock and click "add to firefox." Once you've done that you might have to restart Firefox in order for your changes to take effect.

Tips & Warnings

• You may see something called Flash Killer and other add-ons. Feel free to add these too if you like, but this article is about Flashblock and stopping automatic displays. I know it works and I don't really know what will happen with the other add-ons.
