Step 1
The first thing to do to add the eHow Widget to your Blogspot blog, is to click on the Get Started button in your eHow account.
-
Step 2
You can copy the code for your custom widget by clicking on the Copy to Clipboard button or by selecting it manually and copying it that way.
-
Step 3
Next go into your blogspot blog and in the layout section, choose "Add a Gadget"
-
Step 4
Select the "HTML/JavaSript" Gadget
-
Step 5
In the "HTML/JavaSript" window, paste your code that you copied from eHow. If you save it and it is too big, you are going to have to look at the script and find where it says width="300" height="450". That is what you need to change.
-
Step 6
Most blog side bars will hold a width of about 175 to 225 depending on the layout, without it overlapping the body or chopping it off. Adjust the width to a smaller number between 175 and 225 until you get a good size for your blog sidebar. You will need to save the gadget and check your blog after every time you change the width.
-
Step 7
You can also adjust the "height" of the eHow Gadget to make it longer the same way.
