How to Play Stock Car Racing Games
Stock car racing is a sport, designed mainly for round tracks. However, some races perform on roadways. The maximum length for one track is approximately 2.5 miles. Typically, the stock car racers complete several laps around the track in one race. NASCAR is one of the leading stock car racing associations. You can play stock car racing games on your computer. ESPN Arcade and CandyStand (see Resources) offers free shockwave racing games.

Click the "Register Now" link, top of the page. Enter personal information such as name and birth date. Click "Save" when complete.

Select the "Driving" link, next to "Arcade Home." Locate, "Day Driving" under the "Games" title. Press the "Play" icon.

Wait for the small advertisement. Click the "Play Easy" on the game screen. You must complete the "Easy" level to unlock the "Medium" level.

Win the race. The object of the game is to win the race as well as collect points from diamonds and other stones on the course. A leader board is available to become number one on the game.

Control the stock car. Use the "Up" arrow to move the car and "Down" to brake. The "Right" and "Left" keys controls direction.

Click the "Sports" menu option. Press "Racing Games" on the left. Find "Stock Car Thunder" in the list of "Popular Racing Games."

Select the "Play" button. A 30-second advertisement will begin. Click on a car in the main game window. Then press the "Race" button. If you move away from the game screen, Stock Car Thunder will pause. Press the "Play" button to resume.

Learn the controls and objective. Push the "Up" key to accelerate and "Down" to break. Release the "Up" button to slow down without breaking. Turn left and right by pushing the correct arrow keys. Each race requires 1st place to advance to the next. In addition, you can make pit stops to repair the stock car.
