Step 1
Apply your daily hair conditioner on dry hair from roots to tips. Ensure that your hair is fully saturated and your scalp is covered.

Place the lice comb against the scalp and slowly and evenly pull it from the roots to the tip. When you reach the ends of the hair and remove the comb, note the amount of lice removed. Clean the lice comb by running it under water, or wiping it with a tissue or towel. Continue combing until you have covered every inch of scalp and hair.

Use your lice comb every four days, or more often as needed. Take the number of lice as an indication of how often to comb; large numbers imply that combing should be done daily, while lower numbers of lice allow you to reduce combing to every other day or less. Combine dry combing with lice treatment creams and shampoos if desired.
