So you've found a MySpace video that you want to share with your friends on YouTube...now what? You've probably noticed that MySpace's sharing option does not include YouTube. Before you give up, however, you should know that there is an easy way to upload any MySpace video to YouTube. All you need to do is convert the file to a format that YouTube recognizes and you're in business.

Instructions

    How to Put a Video from MySpace on YouTube

  1. Step 1

    Locate the MySpace video you want to post to YouTube. Make sure posting the video does not violate any copyright laws before you continue.

  2. Step 2

    Scroll down to the middle of the page. Highlight and right-click on the video link to copy the URL.

  3. Step 3

    Find a site that converts MySpace videos to .flv format (see References for companies that provide this free service). Follow the instructions for converting the file.

  4. Step 4

    Right-click on the link once your file has downloaded. Select "Save link as" and save the link to your desktop.

  5. Step 5

    Log in to your YouTube account and find the "Upload" button in the upper right hand corner of the page. Select "Upload Video File."

  6. Step 6

    Click the "Upload Video" button. Locate the file you saved earlier and click the "Open" button.

  7. Step 7

    Wait for the file to download to YouTube. Once downloaded, you can edit and save the video's settings. The video will now be viewable on YouTube.
