Troubleshooting on your own can help save money on a repairman. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Turn both faucets on fully if your washing machine is filling with the wrong temperature water. Make sure the temperature selection is correct and the hoses are connected to the correct faucets. Check to make sure that the water heater is set to deliver a minimum of 120 degrees F hot water. If these steps do not solve your problem, disconnect the hoses and clean the screens, which may be clogged. Remember that when the warm rinse is selected, only the final rinse will be warm. It is also a normal function of the automatic control feature for hot and/or cold water to go through the dispenser when cold or warm temperatures are selected; the washer is determining the temperature of the water.

2
Run the washer through another complete cycle using cold water if the tub is completely full of suds. During the next load, reduce the amount of detergent you use for the specific soil level, water hardness and load size. Make sure that you are using low-sudsing or high-efficiency detergent if you have a front loading washing machine.

Make sure the door is tightly closed if the tub will not fill with water. Ensure that the machine is plugged in to a live electrical outlet, and that there is not a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker. Press the "start/pause" button and fully turn on both faucets. Make sure the inlet hoses are not kinked. Clean any filter screens that may be clogged. Re-open the door and close it, once again pushing "start/pause."

4
Check to make sure the washer is leveled correctly if the machine sounds noisy. Ensure that the leveling leg lock nuts are tightened. Make sure that the rubber feet have been installed on the leveling legs. If your floors are weak, vibration and movement of the machine is common.

5
Use the "faster spin" and "longer spin" options if your load is too wet at the end of a cycle. Make sure you are using high-efficiency detergent to reduce sudsing in front-loading washing machines. If your load is very small, such as one or two items, it may become unbalanced and not spin completely. Try washing larger loads.
