How to Get McAfee With Comcast

Comcast offers digital broadband Internet service to several areas of the United States. When you sign up for Internet service with Comcast, you are given a free subscription to McAfee Security Suite. McAfee Security Suite offers many different security features, including anti-virus protection, a firewall and a data backup for the important files you keep on your computer. In order to take advantage of McAfee Security Suite you need to download the software from Comcast, as it is not installed when you start the Internet service.

• Pen and Paper

Instructions

1. Navigate to the "Security" section of the Comcast website (see "References," below).

2. Scroll down and review the computer system requirements in the "System Requirements" box. The requirements are low, and even older computers should be able to run the software.

3. Press the "Download Now" button, enter your username and password, and click "Sign In."

4. Read the McAfee User Agreement and press "I Agree."

5. Copy the serial number given on the McAfee Product Download page and click the "Download" button. You will need to enter the serial number when installing McAfee.

6. Double click on the "McAfee" icon and follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation.
