How to Make Scrapbooking Kits
Scrapbooking kits are great to create and give as gifts to friends and loved ones. They are fairly simple to put together, and you can use your creative side include coordinating embellishments that can be easily used by anyone. Major craft retailers make it easy to find several coordinating papers and embellishments that you can put a scrapbook kit together with in no time.

Decide what size you will want your scrapbook kit to be. Most people traditionally use 12-by-12 or
8-by-8 inch scrapbooks, and you will want to select something that they may use most often. Scrapbook paper is traditionally sold in 12-by-12 inch size, but you can use a paper trimmer if you choose a smaller size. -

Choose coordinating papers to include into your scrapbook kit. You will want to have at least two patterned papers and two pieces of cardstock that coordinate in terms of color and/or theme. Craft stores will sell paper individually by the sheet or in a paper pack. To save money, purchase paper packs which usually have coordinating papers already in them.

Purchase pre-cut titles or cut them on a personal cutting system, such as a Cricut. You can purchase pre-cut titles or even cut-out letters to let them choose words for a title. Most scrapbook pages will have some kind of title, so you will want to make sure to include these

Add coordinating embellishments to your scrapbook kit. You can purchase pre-made embellishments that will coordinate with the page, or you can create your own with some cardstock and rubber stamps. Be sure to include embellishments like tags, stickers and ribbon to give a creative touch.

Package your scrapbook kit in a box or 12-by-12 inch paper holder. You can dress up the packaging by wrapping it or adding ribbon. It will make a perfect gift for that special someone for any occasion.
