How to Put Music on an Insignia MP3 Player

Insignia MP3 players are portable media players. As with similar MP3 players, Insignia devices come with a CD that contains several different programs, including a media management application and music store. Also similar to other media players, neither of these programs are necessary to use your Insignia MP3 player. Windows Media Player can be used to add or remove songs from an Insignia MP3 player.

Things You'll Need:

  • Windows Media Player
  1. Step 1

    Plug the Insignia MP3 player into the computer.

  2. Step 2

    Open Windows Media Player.

  3. Step 3

    Click "Sync" at the top of the audio software program. The name of the Insignia MP3 player will be listed at the top right of the program.

  4. Step 4

    Select the "Songs" link found under "Library" on the left side of Windows Media Player. The songs in your media library will appear in the program.

  5. Step 5

    Highlight the songs that you want to put on the Insignia MP3 player. Then, drag these songs over to the right column labeled "Sync List." You will then see these songs in that right-hand column.

  6. Step 6

    Click "Start Sync," which is under the songs you selected, to add to the Insignia MP3 player. The music you chose will be added to the player.
